Rev. JeRome Harper
A bit of background
JeRome is currently in his sixth year with the music ministry of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in San Antonio TX, where he is also a faithful Sunday school attendee.
JeRome submitted to the call to ministry through NACM and received ordination in the Fall of 2015. Christ laid upon his heart the passion and fortitude to begin a support/recovery ministry called SOBERMIND for LIFE which is based on Walking the 12 Steps with Jesus Christ. This ministry is designed to help sufferers apply God’s divine plan of recovery, deliverance and transformation from substance abuse, alcohol abuse, and other out-of-control habits.
JeRome has attended the Guadalupe School of Religion, also in SATX, where he studied Counseling, Comparative Religion, and Spiritual Formation and he is presently attending Texas State University in pursuit of a BAAS focused on Addiction Counseling. He became a licensed intern at Treatment Associates of San Antonio as a Chemical Dependency Counselor and is now a Licensed Treatment Counselor at New Choices.
“I am a born-again Christian, saved, forgiven, transformed and delivered. I faithfully and obediently follow the path that God has laid out for me in accordance with Jeremiah 29:11. As I continue to strengthen my relationship with Him on this journey in submission to His will and not my own, I will live my life by His example and bare witness in Jesus’s Name as a living testimony for all He has done in and for my life. I will continue thanking him for His mercy and grace and be in constant gratitude for having been given His unconditional love and compassion; care and empathy; knowledge and wisdom; insight and vision.” MJH
